2010 Some of you might wonder why we aren't competing out there. The reason is very simple. I have actually baby pause. All the more are we pleased to report about our offspring that competes out there with their respective owners. For instance Ailara vK, who already did two 50 km rides this year in Germany. She did win one of them . Then we also are happy to report about Amu Daryas vK progress. She recently finished CEI* in Laak Austria, so now she is qualified for 120 km, CEI**. After the 82 km ride in Laak, CEI* in Austria,...a well deserved rest for both horse and rider
We are also waiting some news in endurance about Kashan vK and hope to get some results later in the years from his owner in the US. 2009 Pregnancy......so no riding nor competitions .................during 2009 But our Amu Darya vK competed in Austria. She finished 90 km ride, qualified for CEI* and got the Silver medal in the Teke Cup 2009. So quite a successful for the second season at the age of 6 years. September, Austria 2008 It was an excellent weekend to introduce a youngster in sport, fantastic weather, 30° C, wonderful atmosphere, wonderful people and a nice place to ride. Amu Darya vK, actually 5 years old and who was sold earlier this year to Austria, was ready to go. In fact it was the Styria Championship. As Renate, Markus' friend could not groom, she had to ride herself the championship and to defend her title, I had promised to come to groom our prospect Teke and assist in her first experience in the endurance sport.
In fact Amu Darya only got broken to saddle from her new owner Markus. Both did a fantatsic job, Amu Darya is a real quick learner, easy character, has no fear, has confidence in her rider and she is curious and a perfect condition to be able to do the distance...so what do you need more to go? Everything was perfect.
Amu Darya and Markus ended their 40 km ride within the fixed time schedule and Renate made it to be Styrian championesse again and I did the assistance and had taken hundreds of pictures.......so at least I have some of at least one of our sold perfomers. Wonderful for a breeder to see his "babies" performing out there. August, USA Kashan vK, who was sold to the USA last year, started his endurance career. July, Germany Our Sotchi, who was eventing champion back in 2003 and started to race in 2006, continues to do endurance in Germany. June, France Smele Leylek also started to race in France. June, Netherlands We headed to CEI Ermelo but unfortunatally just made one loop. Danagul had injured herself and the open wound in the sand did not do her any good. May Skaska vk, after having been used to breed started her endurance career. May, Northern Germany Finally. The season may start. This year it has been in Germany. Both Ganesh & Blondie (Danagul) started the endurance season with CEN **. Peter rode Blondie and our guest from California rode Ganesh in Stuck, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in northern Germany at Angelbecks. The weather forecast was fantastic and so was the weekend. Both Teke ladies in the mist...... ..........before the race Getting started in between
They already got lost during the first loop, so as the groom I was already in early morning worried how to find my riders back. Anyway, luckily they found their way back to the track and teh central vetgate in a reasonable time and finished their first 100 km of the season successfully, with a first and a second place. getting watered in between both Teke girlfriends drinking at the vetgate
April We had some snow again. The race in Spa was under the snow. The whole month was quite cold, rainy and windy, so not the best conditions to train, reason why we postponed our first FEI start. The season should begin with a CEN..... Mid March The season officially started in northern Belgium as well as in Germany and France. Climatic conditions so far haven't been nice. The temperatures do not go much above zero degrees here in the Ardennes. And we had around 10-15 cm snow at Eastern......so our horses need some more training to start in the season.....so just surf by a little later. |
