June 2010 In may we had 2 foals, a colt and a filly. The colt by Sugan vK out of Gilia is reserved reason why, so far he does not appear in the sales list. This is Gilias second foal. The first one got also sold quite quickly. The combination El x Gelishikli really is a golden match. This is all we will get this year. The filly is available for sale. More information and pictures about her in the sales list. 2009 Pregnancy...........so no horse news expect the ATHa Championship. October 2008 Horse blessing in our village. residents in our village are quite active. Besides the horse blessing a trail of 20 km was organized. We had great weather and a great time.
September, Akhal-Teke Championship at Gut Ising, Germany I had to drive to Ising all by myself, without Peter. So 800 km was quite a stressful trip as normally I do not drive with teh trailer, Peter always does. In fact I wanted to take Sugun who had been registered. But because of a (luckily minor) injury I had to leave him at home. So I just picked Atlaia. Yunnan Gush already was supposed to go. 90 horses were registered, which is more than in Moscow at the so called World Championship...............so one can wonder where the World Championship will take place in the future. Among the participant countries were Germany, of course, Austria, Czech Republic, Belgium, Switzerland and France. Kazakstahn and people from Slovakia were also regsitered but finally didn't manage to bring their horses. It was really amazing to have so many horses on one place. On such events it is possible to compare the horses. There were classes with around 12-15 horses .....just amazing.   Altaia became 4th of the 1-2 year old mares
 And Yunnan Gush 6th of the 1-2 year old colts, but in fact the 3rd of the yearlings.
Cerainly unfair was the fact that the first placings were held by 2 year old horses....so why mix them with yearlings? Anyway it was a good experience for the horses and fo rus as well so we could compare them with those of other breeders. Amu Darya also came from Austria. She competed at the country trail with Markus but also did the dressage competition....with Renate ......after the endurance in early september she shows her multi-talent and the versality of the breed to perfection.   Amu Darya doing dressage & before the start of the country trail August , Ashgabat , Turkmenistan Since that we have shown our horses to the President of Turkmenistan in november 2007, contacts have been established and we are now in regular contact with Turkmen Atlary, the horse ministry of Turkmenistan.  I had been invited to TurkmenAgro, the first international agricultural fair being held in Ashgabat and asked to make a speech about Akhal-Tekes in the West, what of course I accepted. Othe participant invited among Akhal-Teke breeders was Kamal Mirhodjaev from Uzbekistan.  The exhibition stand of Turkmen Atlary at the fair As usual I had the honour of being able to visit both Presidential stables, but also Niasov stud, the former Komsomol stud and other horse farms as well. This time I was able to see the newcomer the star of Turkestan Poloty II. Summer In total 7 foals were born at stud, two fillies and 5 colts from Sugun and Prianik who we used for teh first time last year, so this is his first offspring. The year started quite exciting: We had the great honour that Ministers of Turkmenistan visited our stud.
From 14th -17th February 2008 an entire delegation of Ministers of Turkmenistan visited Belgium. The Minister of the horse was also part of the delegation. Despite their heavy schedules, the visitors were able to come and admire the horses of Kara Leylek stud. |
